The Annual NLA/NSLA Conference is returning October 11th-13th to the Younes Conference Center in Kearney, Nebraska! The Conference Planning Committee is once again anticipating a varied program that will include a number of social events during which exhibitors can network with librarians and other library media professionals. We will also provide uninterrupted time in the program for you to mingle with the attendees.
NLA/NSLA consistently sells out their conference exhibitor space. All exhibit space is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and NLA/NSLA reserves the right to limit and/or refuse exhibitor applications.
Exhibitors can begin setting up Wednesday, October 11th after 1:00 p.m. Exhibits will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 12th, with an Exhibitor’s Reception from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. On Friday, October 13th, exhibits will be open from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. Exhibitors are required to stay until Noon on Friday with a complete display. Exhibitors leaving early or not attending the Exhibitors’ reception will not receive priority registration next year.
Pricing for Commercial Vendors is $500 before June 15th, $600 from June 16th-Aug 15st, and $800 until Sept. 15th.
Non-Profit Vendors are $100 before June 15th, $150 from June 16th-Aug 15th and $200 until Sept. 15th. Registration is closed Sept. 15th.
Pipe, drape, signage, carpet, tables and chairs are included in the registration fee. There is a $50 charge for a single 110v electrical hook-ups and a charge of $50 for a wired shared Ethernet connection. The site is equipped with free wireless Internet, however neither NLA/NSLA nor the Younes Conference Center make any guarantee as to the amount of bandwidth availability during conference.
We are considering two extra opportunities for you to reach out to conference attendees. If there is interest, we may schedule Spotlight sessions in the vendor area on Thursday and User Group timeslots on Friday afternoon. The Spotlight sessions would be $100 during the regular breakout sessions and $200 during the exhibits-only time. They would be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The User Group sessions would be $200, and would take place in separate rooms, where you could set the agenda—discuss new products, get feedback from your current customers, or hold an author book signing if you want. Contact us if you are interested in these options.
All exhibitor registration will take place online again this year, and the application can be found on the conference website. We will be adding more information to this website, such as shipping, additional A/V and programming, as it becomes available.
Library professionals from throughout Nebraska look forward to the annual conference. Now is the time to make acquaintances and meet with professionals from school, academic, special, and public libraries. We hope you will join us and make 2017 the best conference ever.
Many exciting opportunities for company sponsorship or advertising are also available. If you or your company would like to be a corporate sponsor or would like to advertise in the conference program, please contact the vendor coordinator at NebLib2017@gmail.com
We are committed to providing the best conference to our constituency and to you, our commercial and non-profit partners. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
